The name Persephone is inspired by Greek mythology and symbolizes the balance of nature—creation, destruction, and renewal. In mythology, Persephone’s journey between the underworld and the earth represents the changing of the seasons, signifying nature’s cycles of growth and dormancy. Just as Persephone is seen as a guardian of nature, our organization strives to nurture and protect Earth’s ecosystems, ensuring they remain healthy and resilient for future generations.

At Persephone Environmental Development Association, we believe that preserving and protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Our work is guided by the principles of sustainability, education, research, and active community engagement. Through our various initiatives, we aim to:

Increase public awareness and education about environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, waste management, and sustainable living.

Promote sustainable development by implementing projects focused on reforestation, clean energy, water conservation, waste reduction, and urban greening.
